Bringing back our favourite moments from The Great Escape 2022

As The summer approaches, music fans and industry professionals are eagerly anticipating the return of one of Europe's most exciting showcase festivals, The Great Escape (TGE).

With its reputation for discovering the best new talent across a range of genres, TGE 2023 promises to be a highlight of the summer.

Over 150 names already revealed on the lineup TGE will take place in 30+  venues across Brighton as usual. Beyond the eclectic list of musical talent, TGE also hosts conferences and programs for industry professionals and music fans.

One of last year's highlights was the truly impactful campaign event for the Own Our Venues movement, which included a speech, a Q&A conference and an in person press release for the campaign.

After attending the festival for the first time last year, we at Feats. were on the edge of our seats waiting for this year's lineup announcement and it did not disappoint.

Some highlight moments of the festival 2022  included one of the most talked about performances from British rapper ENNY. Emerging from South East London, and following her support tour with the legendary British rapper and producer Jorja Smith. Her set at the beach stage was a high-energy showcase of her unique blend of hip-hop and soul, with tracks like her debut single “Peng Black Girls” and “Same Old” getting the crowd moving . ENNY’s confident Stage presence and powerful lyrics marked her as a one to watch in the UK rap scene.

Another standout performance came from English Singer-Songwriter Cassyette.

Dominating the crowd at Chalk. Throughout her set Cassyette proves herself to be a true artist with a unique and compelling vision that sets her apart from her peers. Her setlist included tracks like “Dear Goth” and “Petrichor” that got the room Bouncing. Also played the at the time unreleased “September rain” that has gained a lot of love since the release with over 2.5 million streams on spotify.

Indie Pop artist Oscar Lang also impressed with his set at Green Door Store Venue. The Young London-Based artist delivered a polished performance that controverted his relatives' newness to the music scene. First emerging with his earliest work back in 2017, the artist's set was a milestone moment in his career. His catchy hooks and dreamy melodies had the room swaying and singing along the whole set.
