We caught up with Star Print Clad before their headline set at Green Door Store - here’s what they had to say
Fresh off their headline gig at Green Door Store, Brighton five-piece Star Print Clad are proving themselves as one of the city’s most exciting new live acts. Before they took to the stage, we caught up with the band to talk influences, favourite tracks, and what comes next.
Star Print Clad; made up of Joseph (guitar & vocals), Anthony (bass), Otto (drums), Tom (keys), and Jared (guitar)-describe themselves as an indie rock’n’roll band with their roots firmly planted in the sounds of the seventies.

“We’re a five-piece based in Brighton, taking a lot of influences from the seventies,” they told us. “We’re really into the whole harmony work and jagged sound the instruments held around then.”
With their Green Door show looming, we asked which tracks they were most excited to bring to the stage.
“I’m looking forward to Actor,” said Joseph, further adding; “We came out of the studios tracking it recently and I think it carries the soul of the band in a nutshell. You can really throw the song about live.”
Jared added, “I’d say Angel in Evergreen. It really drives the energy up in the set, and writing the part with Tom was a great creative moment. It gives a Kings of Leon vibe.”

The band had just released their latest single, Serene, and we couldn’t help but ask what might be next-an album? A tour?
“As much as we’d love a full tour-and hey, if anyone’s planning one, you can contact our management-we’re cutting our teeth and plotting at the minute. We’re trying to screw our heads into a consistent release schedule for singles and ramp up our live shows to tackle as many as possible September onwards.”
As always at Feats., we finished on a dream feature question-if they could collaborate with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

“George Harrison,” they all agreed. “We think he had a beautiful melodic mind. Honest songs, great character, greater clothes. It’d be an incredibly insightful session. Might finally learn how to play slide guitar.”
And finally, where can we catch you next?
“Next show, Good Vibrations Festival-that’ll be a good one. All of our socials are @starprintclad. Cheers Feats, hope to catch you soon x.”
Keep your eyes on Star Print Clad-if their set at Green Door Store is anything to go by, this is just the beginning.
